Tamarack Farms Equine Assisted Learning.  Where Horses Bring Learning to Life.

In a world of technology and texting, we cannot afford to forget the importance of interpersonal skills and relationships!   Our hands-on youth and adult programs are designed to build communication, leadership, and teamwork skills and uncover a new found confidence.

The EAL Approach

Equine Assisted Learning is an experiential approach to teaching life skills and leadership using horses. EAL is an effective approach to human development that encourages individual and team growth.  Participants take part in exercises that have a set objective or desired outcomes.  Participants of all ages find themselves learning many valuable life skills in a fun, engaging and exciting atmosphere.  The best part is that you will be working with horses!! EAL has proven to be effective, powerful, positive, educational and creative.

EAL can benefit everyone. No riding or previous horse experience is required; all exercises are done from the ground. EAL is an innovative approach that has proven to be the stimulus of respectful relationships and active involvement. It not only fits naturally into the process of developing strong leaders, it is a practical approach to teaching youth alternative
